Well it took me a week to just to get the entire tune to come out right at all. The issues I ended up having is while recording the song I would either hit the wrong note (which is me just being unsure of where the key is on the saxophone), or if I did hit the correct note, I would do something wrong in my breathing which would cause the note to either squeak or squawk or some other horrible sound. Both were unacceptable to me, which is why I kept trying. Then I would just tire out and couldn’t play at all, so I would have to stop for the day. I finally got through the song today, however listening to it over again it is far from perfect, however technically I hit all the right notes. I will be spending most of my time now on long tones. I just wanted to get a few tunes down to hear how I was at the start (not very good). I hope that after a few more months I can play the song again and it will sound much better. I will re-post it at that time. For the weekend I plan on spending plenty of time with breathing exercises and long tones. My next post will be next week, and I’ll go over what happened and if I noticed any improvements or not. Comments are always welcome on the Sea Chanty song, you can hear it on the Music page.

I like it! It made me smile
I prefer to listen to this rather than Kenny G.
